October 1, 2003 Well, surprise surprise. Rough mixes are in, preliminary to proper mixing after track choice for the upcoming Live Album Web-Release ... Not bad, not bad; some definite moments of wit and musicality! John continues to expand his ever-widening scope of influence in Theatre, Television and Stage. Geoffrey, relentlessly plugging away with the Paperboys, and Hugh on the road in Europe with James Keelaghan ... see photos ... more photos ... John and Hugh have completed a sound design for the Play, "Stones in His Pockets", opening at the Vancouver Playhouse Oct. 2 ... Vince has seen some releases from his production company, Vinsynch ... Anybody still reading this? How about a slew of emails into the discussion group LINK with everyone who cares' wish lists for Red Herring playlist? We have decent takes of most of the set that has been our mainstay for a while ... Talk and Plans continue for an upcoming Studio Album. The band plans to do some group writing over the winter, with Geoff and John continuing to collaborate on lyrics to a large extent. We are looking for massive financial contributions for research and study into the furthering our understanding of the sort of subject material covered in "the Crawl" and "Home for a Rest", and will consider payment plans. Ha. Thanks for getting this far, Best to all of you Kindred Spirits oot there! June 14, 2003 The "Red Herring" album is certainly resembling its moniker. Demand seems to be low for the live album, and there are many other priorities for the various bandmembers these days, so the material continues to languish in the archives. Geoffrey soon to be in NZ with the Irish Rovers, and John working his album to fortunate audiences in small intimate venues across the country, Vince working on film sound 24/7, Hugh is providing bass and octave mando for longtime pal James Keelaghan and is recording/mixing/premastering various projects, most recently completing albums for Alison Vardy, and RantMusic. April 24, 2003 SotW in North Vancouver... We are looking forward to the show in the Centennial Theatre! And in the fashion of our dear turtle logo, we are moving towards an upcoming SotW recording of New Material. This will be and entirely self-produced album, with tracks planned to be recording at Vince's studio, Hugh's post-house, and Geoffrey's writing studio. We might just get our kids to do the art direction... Thanks again to Angela Browne, for moving the design of this website ever forward... from the home-school jungle of mismatched meta-tags and metaphysical meandering to this clean wonderfully blue site! Albums & track listings can be found by clicking here, and there is also a link to all the information here, at the top of the audio page. Cheers SotW
